Wrestling fans REALLY want to be there live for John Cena's final match.

It might not come as a huge shock to many, but John Cena is still one of the hottest ticket shifters in the entire pro wrestling industry. WrestleVotes is reporting that as many as 45,000 people were in the queue on Ticketmaster attempting to purchase briefs and be there live for his final match at WWE's Saturday Night's Main Event special on 13 December.

To put that into perspective, the number is "roughly 3 times" what Washington's Capital One Arena holds.

That 45,000-strong queue popped up "a few minutes before 10am" the morning WWE's public sale started. It seems that fans are tripping over themselves to be in attendance for the event. There, Cena will wave a final farewell to his epic in-ring wrestling career - he worked his very first matches back in 1999, but didn't debut in WWE properly until 2002.

That was one of 2002's best moments, but there were some stinkers!

Since then, Cena has been on a rise like few others and has even transitioned towards a successful career in Hollywood. His year long retirement tour has divided opinion in 2025 (and has included a heel turn which John himself regrets), but there won't be a dry eye in the house come 13 December in the United States capital.

WWE's tagline for the last SNME of 2025 reads: "The last real champion. One last time".

Both the company and Cena himself must be thrilled by the demand for tickets. WWE's pricing policy has recently come under fire from fans, industry critics and even celebrities alike, but it doesn't look set to change any time soon. Those flocking to Washington for John's final bout may argue that occasions like this are worth the asking price.
