11. Vs. The Bolsheviks - WrestleMania VI

This match lasted a grand total of 19 seconds, making it the third shortest in WrestleMania history, and as such there isn't a huge amount that can be said for it. In 1990 Bret was a part of the Hart Foundation tag team with Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart, and they were getting a serious push at the time. All of this was leading to a showdown at SummerSlam against tag champions Demolition, where the Harts would pick up the Tag Titles.

The Hitman and the Anvil attacked poor old Nikolai Volkoff and Boris Zhukov as they were singing the Soviet national anthem, and less than 20 seconds later the Hart Attack was hit and the match was over and done. Much like the Soviet Union itself, the Bolsheviks were faster and faster becoming a non-entity in the WWF, so the loss didn't really do anything to them.

One side note: Nikolai Volkoff was a Croatian-born Canadian émigré who portrayed a Soviet wrestler, before outing himself as a Lithuanian after the fall of the USSR.

Wrestling is weird.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
