Having now formally departed All Elite Wrestling, Brian Pillman Jr. has noted how he has a "huge opportunity" coming up on the horizon.

Coming hot on the heels of him training at the WWE Performance Center, Pillman appears to have something already in the pipeline where it pertains to his future.

Speaking during a virtual signing event for Captain's Corner (via POST Wrestling), Brian talks about how he's excited for what's coming up in his career - though he stopped short of giving any specifics on that matter.

"Being here today and getting to reminisce on some of my past moments in my career has really cheered me up and put me in a position to where I'm excited for the future. There's a lot to come. I can't speak on it right now. It's kind of in the works right now, but I've got a huge moment, a huge opportunity coming up in my career to continue making memories, continue coming up with near gear ideas and sharing my ideas of pro wrestling with you all."

Where it pertains to AEW, Brian Pillman Jr. recently exited the promotion after the expiry of his previous deal with the Tony Khan-helmed company. That exit was said to be an amicable one, with there a possibility the two parties could work together again in the future.

Pillman's final match for AEW came on 13 May, where he and Brock Anderson lost to Austin and Colten Gunn on a House Rules live event. BPJ and Brock had formed an alliance under the guidance of Arn Anderson, which came on the back of Brian teaming with Griff Garrison as the Varsity Blonds.

In terms of TV, Pillman was last seen on the 1 February episode of AEW Rampage in a losing effort against Swerve Strickland. Despite his lack of appearances for AEW throughout this year, the 29-year-old second-generation star has been extremely active on the independent scene.

Of course, many will put 2 and 2 together and expect Brian Pillman Jr. to soon sign with WWE, but we'll have to wait and see what indeed does lie in the near-future for the talented Ohio native.
