Brock Lesnar's 10 Most Vicious Matches

5. Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle - Iron Man Match

Brock Lesnar Kurt Angle Iron Man match

Without trying to disrespect Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels too much, Brock Lesnar vs. Kurt Angle is how an Iron Man Match should be done.

Hart and HBK traded submissions with each other for more than half their match, often laying on the ground to pace themselves for the long haul. Angle and Brock were out to kill each other.

On the September 18th, 2003 episode of SmackDown, the two superstars were given the last hour of the show to battle it out, delivering a brilliant match in the process. It's a shame that what we didn't get to see the entire thing, as commercials brought the televised bout closer to 44 minutes, but what we saw was fantastic.

They beat each other with a series of stiff kicks and punches, vicious submissions, suplexes and chairshots. Neither man being able to gain advantage on the other. They raced against the clock to score as many pinfalls as as they could, with the ending witnessing Brock locked in the anklelock screaming in agony as the time reached zero.

He escaped with his ankle intact, but barely, as well as a 5-4 win in one of the best matches ever seen on free TV.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
