Brock Lesnar: 5 Awesome WWE Matches And 5 That Sucked

2. Brock Lesnar Vs The Undertaker (No Mercy 2002)

One of the greatest Hell in a Cell matches of all time (at least out of all the one's not to feature anyone falling off or through the roof) this is the Brock Lesnar/Undertaker match everyone wants to remember. This was the biggest test of Brock's career as he had to defend his WWE Championship against one of the all time greats, the Undertaker. Well, after cleanly defeating The Rock and Hulk Hogan, fan were already willing to accept Lesnar as Takers equal. But few predicted the accomplished amateur wrestler would fare well inside the Hell in a Cell, a match Taker had made famous. That night fans witnessed one of the bloodiest, most violent HIAC matches ever and neither man left the cell once! Confining the action inside the cell (isn't that what's it supposed to be for anyway?) Brock and Taker went back and forth, each displaying their unbelievable power moves and dishing out some of the most wicked chair shots and steel step shots imaginable. But it wasn't all mindless brawling. Taker entered the match with a cast over his supposedly broken hand and thus the match had a logical story going for it. Lesnar targeted the hand throughout the match, while Taker found he had a new weapon with his cast. The sight of Lesnar repeatedly crushing Taker's hand with a chair while a bloody Paul Heyman held it in place from outside the cell was brutal, yet captivating in equal measure. Paul Heyman even bladed and he never even entered the cell! It is a must see match on a must see Pay Per View, which cemented Brock Lesnar as the dominant force he is today.

As a wrestling fan I've flown across the Atlantic for the last five years specifically to attend WrestleMania (28 and 30) as well as TNA, ROH, Evolve, Chikara and most recently PWG. I may have a problem! But if you're reading my work then you probably love wrestling too, so lets focus on that!
