Lesnar spent his first couple of months in the company feuding with the Hardy Boys, Matt and Jeff. The brothers gave the rookie a couple of evil 'welcome to the business' chair shots on Raw but rarely did they get the better of Brock. When it came time for them to square off in the ring, Lesnar routinely came out on top. That was the story at Judgement Day 2002, where Brock teamed with agent/manager Paul Heyman to take on the ladder match specialists. It was a short match (Lesnar's early outings usually were) but it was energetic and the Hardys did what they could to make Lesnar look like a monster. Paul Heyman scored the win after Lesnar blasted Jeff with an F5. Lesnar would quickly move onto bigger and better things following the Hardy programme.
