Is Brodie Lee's son actually signed to AEW? Not quite, but there are future plans.

Brodie Lee Jr, otherwise known as The Dark Order's -1 on screen, has definitively stated that he isn't actually under contract to AEW after all. The 13 year old spilled some beans during an interview with The Wrestling Classic. It turns out that neither he nor any family members inked a formal agreement with Tony Khan's company back in 2020.

However, there's a verbal contract in place for the future.

Lee Jr told interviewers that AEW's terms give him the option to sign a proper contract once he turns 18. During the pod, he said this: "Everybody thinks I’m signed. I’m not signed. The deal was, when I turn 18, if I want that contract...it is always open". That's interesting, because many assumed that Brodie's family might've signed something on his behalf, but that isn't true.

Part of the agreement includes a pitch for Brodie Jr to get into the ring with Jon Moxley and work a death match once he's older. Basically, that can't happen until at least 2030. So, if Khan still fancies booking it and Mox is onboard/able, then Double Or Nothing 2030 could have an ultra-violent clash between Moxley and -1 to offer.

Anyone scoffing at that should remember what's currently going on with Dominik Mysterio on WWE's side. He's well on course to become one of the promotion's best breakout stars, and no-one saw that coming when lil' Dom Dom was playing PSP in backstage skits with his father Rey.

To clarify, Brodie Jr's AEW contract exists. It just hasn't kicked in yet. "Yet" is the key word there.
