And finally, when Trips confronts Vince at Chili's 2, he reveal that he wants to go with him to Madagascar.
Cue Vince revealing his highly convoluted master plan: "I only went out with you so you'd be smitten with me, so that when you went out with Stephanie, you'd be too distracted to enjoy your date with her, which would make her hate you."
Balloons and confetti then shower from the ceiling with a "longest sentence of the day!" banner, as Trips realises he may have blown his shot with Stephanie.
Ultimately Steph accepts Trips' apology, but you've got to give Vince some credit: that was a diabolical master plan to sit alongside his finer in-ring ones ("It's me, Austin!"). Well played.
