Hulk Hogan (captain), Tugboat, The Big Boss Man and 'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka versus Earthquake (captain), Dino Bravo, 'Ravishing' Rick Rude and Haku (with Jimmy Hart and Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan).

In addition to the joint feud of Hulk Hogan and Tugboat versus Earthquake and Dino Bravo, 'Ravishing Rick Rude' was originally slated to join the latter against The Big Boss Man, but departed the company a month before it could materialize. Despite his exit, Rude was still contractually tied to WWF until the following May, so 'The Ravishing One' stays on board for the amended card. Heenan charge Haku is still added as a substitute, but for The Barbarian this time, while fellow hardened islander 'Superfly' Jimmy Snuka steps in for 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan.

Team Hogan fires the first salvo when Haku falls to The Boss Man Slam but a Rude Awakening eliminates 'Superfly' moments later. The Hulkster levels Dino Bravo with a Leg Drop to regain a 3-2 lead. Boss Man and Rude come to blows before a blind tag to Earthquake leaves Cobb County's finest succumbing to the Aftershocks.

After trading a handful of nearfalls with Hogan, Earthquake's titanic clash with Tugboat spills outside the ring, resulting in a simultaneous countout/disqualification when Jimmy Hart strikes the future Typhoon with his megaphone. Down to the last two, Rude ducks Hogan's first attempted Big Boot and counters with a Rude Awakening, but The Hulkster naturally escapes at two. Hogan rallies to the Leg Drop and seals Rude's fate.
