Card Subject To Change: Repackaging WWE Survivor Series 1990
1. The Grand Finale
The Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan and The British Bulldog versus 'Million Dollar Man' Ted DiBiase, The Undertaker, Rick 'The Model' Martel and Mr. Perfect (with Virgil, Brother Love and Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan).
For as novel a concept as Survivor Series is itself, the 'Grand Finale Match of Survival' that WWF tried to enact during the 1990 edition was fairly unique in its own right. An additional sudden death round featuring the survivors of the five scheduled contests should have been utilized going forward and for what it's worth, could still be worth revisiting at future installments.
Instead of the lopsided 3-on-5 conclusion, however, the sides come out even here. Hogan and The Warrior are joined by Duggan and The Bulldog for the finale against survivors Ted DiBiase, Rick Martel, Mr. Perfect and The Undertaker. The Phenom gives all four remaining heroes, Hogan and Warrior in particular, a sneak preview of what they can expect in the months to come.
Martel is the first casualty, falling to Bulldog before a Tombstone Piledriver puts down Davey Boy. As the heroes struggle to control the debutant, Duggan throws the rule book to the wind, walloping The Undertaker with his 2x4. This draws a disqualification, but the ensuing brawl breaks the stalemate as 'Taker is counted out in the scuffle with the patriot. Hogan polishes DiBiase off with a Leg Drop and the WWF Champion splashes Perfect into Parts Unknown for the duke.
