Cesaro In WWE: Where Did It All Go Wrong

8. Vince McMahon’s Uncalled For Burial

What an own goal this was.

Criticism is fine. No, it really is - everybody has to take it as some point in their lives, and most have thick enough skin to deal with it or know those analysing them only have their best interests at heart. Surely it's best when that's done privately though?

Or, if you're Vince McMahon, you outright crucify someone in front of millions.

Vince went on Steve Austin's WWE Network show in 2014 and flat out buried Cesaro. His scathing review of the 'Swiss Superman' included claiming that the wrestler wasn't a draw and didn't have that "it factor" needed to get to the top. Meanwhile, even 'Stone Cold' sat there baffled by what the boss was doing.

It felt counterproductive to critique Cesaro's work so heavily when the promotion were trying to build him as a major star at the same time. Don't think they were interested in doing that? Then explain what happened next...
