Cesaro In WWE: Where Did It All Go Wrong

3. A Severe Lack Of Singles Prizes

Cesaro only won one United States Title as a singles star during his entire decade-long run in WWE. That’s seriously poor in an era when titles are handed out like free samples, and it shows that WWE were never serious about considering him for the biggest prizes.

World Title reign? Come on now. 'Swiss Bliss' was only deemed good enough for a solitary US Title run back between 2012-2013. Yes, it lasted for 240 days, but it also ended nine f*cking years prior to his WWE departure. There's something really upsetting about that, especially considering how perfect Cesaro would've been for the Intercontinental strap.

That "workhorse title" would never be his.

Neither, mind you, would the old World Heavyweight, WWE or Universal Championships. Despite earning a few shots at WWE's World Titles, Cesaro would never really come close to winning one. He certainly wasn't someone Vince McMahon planned to build an entire division/show around.
