Charlotte Flair, Tiffany Stratton Drama: Exact Moment Segment Went Off-Script REVEALED (WWE News)
Why WWE personnel felt Tiffany Stratton HAD to fight back at Charlotte Flair & more backstage info.

Charlotte Flair referring to herself as the "nepo queen" was the first moment the 14-time Women's Champion's segment with Tiffany Stratton went off-script on last week's SmackDown, reports Fightful Select.
In case you missed it, the WrestleMania 41 opponents were involved in an in-ring promo battle mediated by Wade Barrett. Things quickly went awry, with Flair losing her way due to the volume of the Chicago, IL crowd's jeers, Charlotte mocking Tiffany's voice, and Stratton referencing Flair's recently revealed divorce from fellow WWE star Andrade.
While the "nepo queen" line was the first instance of the segment deviating from the runtime, Fightful states that when Flair marked Stratton's voice, people backstage in WWE felt like Tiffany "needed to fight back." Nonetheless, getting so personal without proper clearance was described as "ill-advised."
Tiffany's line about Charlotte's divorce and Flair's jab about Stratton's real-life boyfriend, Ludwig Kaiser, being in Charlotte's DMs weren't cleared. Neither was Flair addressing the crowd booing her, though this was described as "run of the mill ad-libbing that would never get anyone any heat."
Confusion was the predominant backstage reaction when Charlotte mocked the WWE Women's Champion. When it got super personal, this turned to "oh s***."
Fightful confirmed, too, that there was heat on both Flair and Stratton following the segment, though there is no word of backstage problems afterwards. The situation has been described as a "wreck."
Tiffany Stratton & Charlotte Flair Have Had Issues For Weeks

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer stated that Charlotte Flair and Tiffany Stratton have had issues "for about two weeks," with several people aware of the situation.
Meltzer added that Flair was receiving more blame for the segment going awry than Stratton was. Nonetheless, both have drawn heat for letting the angle go off the rails.
Last week's SmackDown wasn't the first time a Tiffany/Charlotte segment hasn't gone well since the two started feuding. On SmackDown's 21 March episode, the duo engaged in a split-screen, sitdown interview segment, in which Flair continually cut Stratton off mid-sentence, leaving the WWE Women's Champion visibly struggling.
Flair claimed her right to challenge for a women's championship by winning the 2025 women's Royal Rumble in February. A few weeks later, she chose Tiffany and the WWE Women's Championship, making their WrestleMania 41 match official. There is currently no word which night of the 19/20 April premium live event will host the clash.
WWE is yet to announce anything involving Stratton or Flair for this Friday's SmackDown.
