Chris Sabin Exclusive Interview: Returning To IMPACT Wrestling, Motor City Machine Guns & More

Obviously, you and Alex Shelley faced The Rascalz upon your return to IMPACT at Slammiversary in July. What was it about the team that interested you the most in wanting to work with them?

Sabin: Just seeing some of ourselves in them. They're a younger, up-and-coming team trying to prove themselves and that's exactly the position we were in when we first started in IMPACT. We see a lot of potential in those guys. We just want to help them and elevate them.

In addition to the Impact World Tag Team Championship being on the line this time around, what do you think will make this upcoming championship rematch on Tuesday's show even better and more exciting than that original encounter?

Sabin: I think the biggest difference is that they have a chance to prepare for this match. It was an open challenge and we were surprise opponents for them at Slammiversary, so this is giving them an entire week to prepare and study and do whatever they need to do to get ready to wrestle us. I think they'll be more prepared this time and that should make for a better match.
