CM Punk: 10 Great Feuds He Could Have Had In 2014

5. Cesaro

Cesaro Punk The so-called Swiss Superman is on a role following his win in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal and with Paul Heyman by his side, the possibility of a feud with CM Punk becomes that much more interesting. Punk and Heyman's history is well-documented. The fact that Punk and Cesaro have yet to face each other in anything resembling a match of importance makes it both a fresh feud and a hotly anticipated one. Since Punk stepped away from WWE, Cesaro has done as much as anyone to lay claim to Punk's title of Best in the World. He has worked tremendous matches against a variety of opponents and has become more over than ever thanks to his unbridled shows of strength. His Cesaro Swing, in particular, has become incredibly popular among fans and his ability to get just about any Superstar in the company up for the move has garnered his tremendous attention. He has competed against, and excelled in matches with, the top stars the industry has to offer. He has squared off with Daniel Bryan, John Cena and Randy Orton and his work with stars of that caliber have won him favor with management, leading to the push he is currently enjoying. There is one name missing from that list and that name is CM Punk. Whether Punk's body could have held up under the incredibly physical style of Cesaro's ring work, however, would have been a big question. The Chicago native was clearly suffering from several injuries as it was. Taking Cesaro's hard uppercuts and forearms on a nightly basis clearly would have further worn him down and may have given way to a more serious injury. The matches themselves, however, would have been spectacular.
