CM Punk: 10 Great WWE Feuds We Never Got To See

8. Kofi Kingston

Since his 2009 feud with Randy Orton went sour, Kofi Kingston has been branded a "micarder for life." This has been reinforced by the fact that he has won the Intercontinental, United States and WWE Tag Team Championships on several occasions over the years, but has received minimal shots at the WWE or World Heavyweight Championship. Kingston has all the tools to be a top-tier star in WWE, but the powers that yet are reluctant to push him to the top for one reason or another. Kingston hasn't feuded with many main event players over the course of his career, a rivalry with CM Punk would be interesting in more ways than one. Not only are they former World Tag Team champions together, but it's a well known fact that they are very good friends outside the squared circle as well. The two were traveling buddies for the longest time and have spent a majority of their careers on the same brand (when the Brand Extension actually mattered, that is). A Raw match in May 2011 showed that these two can flat-out go in the ring when given a sufficient amount of time, but they haven't crossed paths since. Punk went on to become one of the WWE's biggest stars in years while Kingston floundered in the midcard and tag team division. If the history between these two former ECW youngsters were to be played up, it could make for one of the most personal rivalries in recent memory.
