CM Punk: 10 Great WWE Feuds We Never Got To See

7. Triple H

From John Cena to Randy Orton to Sheamus to Daniel Bryan, Triple H has seemingly feuded with every top star in the current WWE landscape. He's even feuded with CM Punk in the past, but the reason this rivalry was included on the list was because their last feud together didn't last long and wasn't done to its full potential. CM Punk's feuds with John Cena and Daniel Bryan spanned several pay-per-views, but his bitter rivalry with HHH lasted only one. After walking out of Chicago as a WWE champion without a contract, Punk was brought back into the WWE fold by newly appointed WWE COO Triple H in July 2011. Despite HHH being the one who re-signed him to a deal, Punk continued to push the buttons of The Game, believing that he was in on the "conspiracy" against him. After Kevin Nash cost him the WWE Championship at SummerSlam, Punk's conspiracy theories were fueled by the fact that HHH and Nash were best friends, so his gripe was legitimate. After a few weeks, Triple H finally hit his breaking point and challenged Punk to a No Holds Barred match at the Night of Champions pay-per-view. The match saw interference from Nash, The Miz and R-Truth, which led to HHH picking up the victory. Punk was never able to get his win back over The Cerebral Assassin, as the two soon put their differences aside and partnered up against Awesome Truth from that point forward. It appeared as if Punk was headed toward a match with Triple H at WrestleMania 30, but The Second City Saint's abrupt departure from the company following the Royal Rumble event prevented that from coming to fruition. Their first in-ring encounter had potential to be great, but all the interference resulted in it being a train wreck. The promos leading up to their 2011 match were fantastic and one can only assume that if they were to clash once again they'd be equally explosive. If Punk were to resume this rivalry with The Game upon his return, they could tie The Straight Edge Superstar's leave of absence into it all, making their feud that much more must-see and realistic.
