CM Punk: 10 Great WWE Feuds We Never Got To See

6. Christian

Christian has suffered several injuries that have sidelined him from action for long periods of time since returning to WWE in 2009, but when he's around, he produces great matches with whoever he's in the ring with. From Randy Orton to Alberto Del Rio to Cody Rhodes, Christian has had a number of classic contests over the years, but one Superstar he has seldom come across is CM Punk. Punk and Christian had their first ever matchup against each other on the September 17, 2010 edition of SmackDown where Punk emerged victorious. A rematch held a little over a year later on the October 28, 2011 edition of SmackDown saw the same result, but this time with Punk as the face and Christian as the heel. They were scheduled to square off on the Raw before WrestleMania 28, but due to The Voice of the Voiceless taking out his aggression on Christian before the bell could be rung, it never got underway. The "attack" on Christian from Punk sidelined Captain Charisma from action for two months. Hopes were high that Christian would return to exact revenge on Punk by feuding with him over the WWE Championship that summer, but no such luck. Christian returned as a fan favorite that May and never made to the mention to the bad blood between him and Punk. Christian is once again out with an injury and it's unknown as to when or even if he'll be back, but if he does indeed return to action, it's believed to be for a short period of time before his contract as an active competitor expires later this year. Even if Punk was to make his highly anticipated comeback to the WWE at any point in the foreseeable future, a feud with Christian wouldn't be likely. Regardless, the series of matches these two could have had a few years back would have been nothing short of epic.
