CM Punk: 10 Reasons He Will Be Back In WWE Before Long

2. Both WWE And Punk Know The Money Angle They Have

Has there ever been a better creative angle left on the table than CM Punk's / WWE feud? The shoot walkout was begging to be turned into a work earlier this year. On the one hand you had the rebellious face who everyone was desperate to hear from, on the other side you had the evil heel empire who had driven him away. Punk's silence in the period served to ram the interest in a worked shoot up and up, making him the biggest story in wrestling without him ever even doing anything. Even more perfect was that Punk had previously butted heads with management in 2011 storylines. The Pipe Bomb promo was the hottest angle in a generation, the January walkout seemed to set the stage for a sequel. We're still waiting for that sequel and there's still reason to believe it will come. The angle writes itself. Punk walks back out on to a WWE stage and the crowd goes nuts. He thens cuts a new shoot promo in which he lays bare the events of his January exit. He's then propelled into the closing main event of a WrestleMania against Triple H or whoever is representing The Authority. Heck, turn Cena heel by siding him with The Authority, then do Punk vs Cena at WrestleMania 31. You can guarantee that would have huge numbers signing up to WWE Network. Way more than Reigns vs Lesnar or Cena vs Bryan. Both WWE and Punk know they have the perfect story for his comeback, the question is, when do both sides come together to execute on it?
