CM Punk: 10 Things He Will Do After His WWE Contract Expires
2. He Jumps To TNA And Rescues The Promotion
While many know of Punk's rise through the Indy Wrestling scene, and subsequently making a name for himself in Ring Of Honor, Punk also had a brief run in TNA Wrestling. The stint was short as officials in TNA pulled the plug feeling that he didn't get over with the crowd. Could he return to the promotion ten years later, and help rescue it? That all depends on CM Punk's commitment and his mindset. If Punk has a sour taste left in his mouth after the way he left WWE, and has the desire to show Vince McMahon and Triple H how influential he is in the business, then he will go to TNA and compete with them. It would be a no brainer for Dixie Carter to sign Punk to TNA, as they have been moving in a downward spiral lately. Punk's popularity would bring more viewers to their product, and his passion for wrestling will make the promotion better. He could be a part of the creative team there as well, and have a fresh outlook on story lines, while helping the careers of the younger talents. It has been rumored that Punk's WWE exit had a lot to do with him being burnt out, and being on the road constantly. TNA would fit in nicely for Punk at this stage in his career, as the schedule is a lot lighter than that of the WWE. There is only one TV show for TNA, and they do a double taping each week, meaning that Punk would only have to be in Orlando two times a month. CM Punk would feel respected in TNA and would be driven to make the promotion a success.
