CM Punk: 5 Reasons He Will Return At WWE Payback

1. CM Punk Returns For Payback On Kane

The last time we saw CM Punk inside a WWE ring was at the Royal Rumble when he was the first entrant into the match. Punk lasted over 49 minutes in that match before being eliminated by Kane, who was already eliminated when he returned to cost Punk his chance to win. Kane went on to put Punk through the announce table, which would have probably led to a feud between the two and eventually a match between CM Punk and Triple H at WrestleMania 30. All this was scrapped the next night after the Rumble, when CM Punk left. Daniel Bryan was scheduled to face Kane at Payback for the title, so this leaves the main event of the pay-per-view up in the air. Insert CM Punk, who makes a surprise return back to face Kane, and get his revenge. From a story line perspective it makes perfect sense, and would fit in nicely with the Payback pay-per-view. Maybe it's wishful thinking that Punk will ever return back to the WWE. Maybe he is happy at home, and wants to move on and be "The Best In The World" at something other than wrestling. One thing is for sure, until either the WWE or CM Punk address the situation, it will never go away. We will always be wondering what happened and when is CM Punk coming back. It just seems that with Payback in his hometown, and Daniel Bryan unfortunately being injured, the WWE and CM Punk will find a way to do business again very soon.
