CM Punk: 6 Possible WWE WrestleMania 30 Opponents

4. Vince McMahon

So if Punk isn't thrilled with the idea of taking on Triple H at WrestleMania, would his boss suffice? Yes, it sounds absolutely crazy that the 68 year old Vince McMahon would step in the ring one more time, but is it really that out of the realm of possibility? After all, it was less than two years ago that he wrestled his last match. And his opponent that night? CM Punk. The storyline practically writes itself. CM Punk has been upset with the way things have been going in WWE, and he's been wanting to change it from within. So far, he's been unable to do that, but taking out the guy at the very top who makes all those decisions could finally help him accomplish that goal. McMahon never had a retirement match, he just stopped competing. What event would be more fitting for him to have his final match than at WrestleMania XXX? It wouldn't be McMahon's first battle at the grandaddy of them all either, as he's taken on Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Shawn Michaels and even his own son at past Manias. He may be open to the idea of having the spotlight on him one last time. The trouble with booking Hunter vs. Punk, is the question of who would do the job. With McMahon, there is no problem. The boss wouldn't mind losing even if Punk never stepped foot in a WWE ring again. Sure, the match wouldn't be pretty, but their match on Raw wasn't that bad either. McMahon is in phenomenal shape for a nearly 70 year old man, and could easily put on an entertaining 10 minute street fight. Throw in a healthy dose of outside interference, and you could mask most of McMahon's physical limitations. WrestleMania XXX is in dire need of a big, unique match, and this could be exactly what the show needs.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
