CM Punk: 8 Rumoured WWE Returns And Status Updates

6. Punk Is Retired

twittertwitterIn a May interview with RedEye Chicago, Punk was asked how it feels €œto be retired at 35,€ to which he replied simply, €œIt feels good.€ He went on to talk about some of the charity work he€™s been doing in his now-abundant free time, including playing whiffle ball with Bill Murray. That three-word answer made the rounds on every wrestling website €“ as it should €“ and had everyone speculating about how Punk could totally walk away at such a young age and whether it€™s actually true. Now, Punk very simply could have been sidestepping the question in the least confrontational way €“ by half-heartedly acknowledging it with a short, blasé answer €“ or he could have just confirmed what some have feared since January. Nonetheless, the Punk retirement rumors have picked up steam again recently with photos emerging in the last few days of Punk and new bride AJ Lee jogging, and the Second City Savior sporting what appears to be some extra pounds around the midsection. That not surprisingly has rekindled the retirement talk, which doesn€™t seem to be going away any time soon.
