WWE.comOf all the rumors that have circulated, this was one that took the most twists and turns. When Punk left after Royal Rumble, the immediate assumption was that he was pulling an Austin-like take his ball and go home move that would last a few weeks before hed get back into the fray. No way CM Punk would miss the biggest event of the year, WrestleMania XXX, right? Speculation shifted from seeking revenge on Kane, to fighting Triple H for Daniel Bryans right to wrestle for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, to being in the title match himself. Even as weeks went by with absolutely no storyline development in any direction, the rumor mill still picked up enough steam in part courtesy of Stone Cold Steve Austin that even on the day of Mania, there was a strong rumor that Punk would appear on the PPV in some capacity. That of course never happened. WrestleMania XXX was the Daniel Bryan Show, and fans were left wondering if Punk missed the biggest show of the year, would he ever return?
