CM Punk and AJ Lee have appeared together in a new video to raise awareness of Lou Gehrig's disease. In the video, AJ pours a bucket of cold ice water over Punk's head. It's known as the 'ice bucket challenge', a viral internet sensation in which celebrities get soaked with cold water. The idea is then to put over the cause of the charity, spreading awareness of the battle against Lou Gehrig's disease. The proper name for Lou Gehrig's is Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, which is commonly shortened to ALS. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-T0gBJJSaU Punk commented on his Twitter "I accept the ALS ice bucket challenge from no twitter Matt Cooke of the @mnwild and the no good @BaileyLAKings. On my way to get a bucket..." Surprisingly, he then got some heat for supporting the charity. This prompted a second tweet, "Blocking people who feel the need to s--t on raising ALS awareness. What is wrong with you? Ice bucket on the way. Who should I challenge?" It looks like Punk filmed his challenge on the roof of his Chicago apartment. In a funny homage to his WWE days, he starts the video in the same iconic cross legged sitdown position that he cut his 2011 pipe bomb promo in. Wife AJ Lee clearly relished the opportunity at soaking him. This is one of the first times we have seen Punk and AJ as man and wife. The pair married in June of this year. His relationship with the WWE diva remains Punk's last connection to pro wrestling. He walked out of WWE in January, with his contract expiring in July.
