CM Punk: Every WrestleMania Match Ranked Worst To Best

6. Money In The Bank Ladder Match- WrestleMania 24 (2008)

CM Punk WrestleMania 28
WWE

Jump one year back, and we got a much hungrier performance from the Straight Edge Superstar. He was still carving his niche, and was at the less established side of proving himself to be a main event player. His night at WrestleMania 24 in 2008 was important, but by no means the best.

There's no real black cloud to hang above this one. The match contained some mind-blowing performances, as was generally the case with WrestleMania Money In The Bank ladder contests. Ultimately, the show was rightfully stolen by the likes of Shelton Benjamin and John Morrison, as their crazy antics outshone the other contenders. Amidst this, Punk mainly played the part of opportunist.

The plus side was that it paid off for him. CM Punk grabbing that briefcase and earning a solid victory was a real significant point in his career, arguably more so than that of 2009's MITB match. All was good on that front, but in terms of performance, better examples are to be found in other matches of the same type.
