It's important to remember that this match occurred when CM Punk's injuries were taking a serious toll. Creative differences also played a part in him being less than happy going into this event.

Somehow, none of it stops the match from being amazing, though.

CM Punk's entrance alone exudes the Best in the World at his most brazen, strolling to the ring with Paul Heyman in tow whilst Living Color pumped out a slick live rendition of Cult of Personality. His charisma levels were close to bursting, even before the actual wrestling began.

During the contest, Punk relentlessly injected energy and personality into every blow, bump, and dive, countering The Undertaker's stoic presence with craftiness and rage. Though 'The Phenom's aura was godly, CM Punk came across as his equal, all the way up until the final pin. Whilst it was certain from the get-go that Punk was never going to end The Streak, he did give 'Taker a formidable run for his money; so much so that the match dwarfed The Rock Vs John Cena II main event of the night with little effort...

... and so ended CM Punk's WrestleMania tenure, but it was a bloody good sign-off.
