CM Punk's 10 Greatest Heel WWE Moments

7. CM Punk Interrupts Paul Bearer Tribute

March 5th was a sad day for the wrestling world, the legendary manager and hall of famer William "Paul Bearer" Moody passed away, he was one of the most influential, extravagant and downright bizarre characters who ever graced the WWE. The first Raw after his death, WWE put on a fitting tribute with his trademark urn positioned in the centre of the ring and the recently returned Undertaker came out to pay his respects€ However, CM Punk had other ideas. A chorus of boos rained down on Punk once the static cut out the tribute and €˜Cult of Personality€™ blasted through the arena. CM Punk came out and paid his respects to Bearer in his own way and told the Undertaker that in Paul Bearer€™s eyes, he will always be perfect and the streak will always be undefeated, that will change at WrestleMania 29. It was the ultimate show of disrespect, a slap in the face of the legend (in truth, Bearer probably would have loved it), and it made the match personal €“ something the rivalry sorely needed to separate it from the Undertaker€™s WrestleMania matches with the likes of Shawn Michaels and Triple H. It wasn€™t about respect; it was about breaking the streak by any means necessary €“ Punk stooped to a level so low that fans turned away in disgust and despite their desire to see edgier material, this was seen as too far (sometimes WWE just can€™t win). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLYko84WUJA This would not be the worst act Punk would commit against the Deadman.
