Cody Rhodes' WWE Characters Ranked - From Worst To Best

It is disappointing, to say the least, that the last image fans will have of Cody Rhodes was Stardust. What started as an interesting concept descended into ridiculousness, a cheap ripoff of his brother's most memorable character and a clichéd comic book villain positioned opposite television star Stephen Amell. Formerly one of the most promising young stars in WWE was, suddenly, a caricature.

The Stardust character failed to catch on almost from the start. Audiences recognized it for what it was: a knockoff of the Goldust character and a means to another ill-fated Rhodes heel turn. So over-the-top was it that there was no chance it was ever going to net young Cody the push he deserved. Yet no matter how poorly written it was or how nonsensical the backstage vignettes may have been, Rhodes made the absolute best of it, disappearing into the character.

Unfortunately, any early momentum was abandoned, leaving Stardust to wallow aimlessly in the undercard. When all was said and done, his shining moment came at SummerSlam 2015, when he teamed with King Barrett in a losing effort against Neville and Arrow's Amell.
