There is no denying that Cody Rhodes is a good looking guy. In 2010, Vince McMahon and WWE Creative opted to make that fact that centerpiece of Rhodes' latest gimmick. Vignettes aired featuring Rhodes giving beauty tips for men, including the use of face creams, proper grooming tools, and hair products. They were cheesy and, at times, uncomfortable to watch. Considering his complete lack of character development to that point however, it was something for him to sink his teeth into.
The gimmick was short-lived, and a setup for what would come next.
Arguably the most memorable moment of the "Dashing" era of Rhodes was a SmackDown match with Rey Mysterio in which he suffered a broken nose after a 619. The moment led to his much more successful next persona, rendering ol' Dashing Cody more of a footnote in history than anything.
