Chad Gable thinks WWE's merger with UFC under the Endeavor Group banner opens up new "possibilities" for pro wrestlers like himself.

The Alpha Academy man told Ryan Satin on 'Out Of Character' that he's "excited" to see what comes out of the business relationship between both companies - Gable also admitted that WWE merging with UFC isn't something he could've predicted before it happened.

He was totally taken aback when that union was announced, because he didn't really think of UFC/Enveavor as potential partners or buyers for WWE. Chad obviously knew the promotion was up for sale though, but was left just as surprised as most fans by the reveal.

Gable has heard dynamic phrases like "combat sports entertainment" thrown around recently too, and that caught his eye. He has an amateur wrestling background, and previously competed at the 2012 Summer Games in London, England. Would it be too much of a stretch to say that Chad would be interested in doing something MMA-related?

Stranger things have happened.

Gable described the merger as "a wild ride", and says he can't wait to see what happens next under Endeavor's watch.
