Current WWE star Tamina was backstage for IMPACT Wrestling's Slammiversary this past Saturday.

As per Mike Johnson over at PWInsider.com, Tamina was at Slammiversary to support her long-time friend Trinity. Likewise, Mercedes Moné was another in attendance to support her former tag team partner.

Slammiversary was quite the night for Trinity, with her defeating Deonna Purrazzo to become the new IMPACT Knockouts Champion. This marks the one-time Naomi's first slice of gold outside of WWE, and it likewise brings an end to the Virtuosa's third reign with that title.

Taped the month prior, Trinity made her formal company debut on the 4 May episode of IMPACT Wrestling. Quick to pick up wins over KiLynn King, Gisele Shaw, and Savannah Evans, Trinity soon had her eyes on Purrazzo's Knockouts Championship. A friendly rivalry between Trinity and Deonna ended up coming to a head at Slammiversary, where Purrazzo tapped out to the Starstruck submission.

Of course, prior to landing in IMPACT, the real-life Trinity Fatu spent 13 years under the WWE banner, where she won the SmackDown Women's Title on two occasions and had a run as the Women's Tag Team Champions alongside the then-Sasha Banks. Trinity and Mercedes would walk out on WWE during the 16 May 2022 episode of Raw, placing their titles on the desk of John Laurinaitis and leaving the venue due to creative unhappiness.

Stripped of those belts and handed indefinite suspensions, Sasha would exit WWE at the end of last year, debuting at NJPW Wrestling Kingdom 17 as Mercedes Moné, whereas Trinity announced this past March that she was formally done with WWE. Both talents have clearly gone on to have success since departing the market leader, with Moné herself having already had a reign as the IWGP Women's Champion.
