Listen to any number of shoot interviews from the likes of Kayfabe Commentaries, and whenever Mike 'The Miz' Mizanin is brought into things, people usually say he's a person that grates after a while, and the character he plays on television is very much how he acts behind the scenes too. Daniel Bryan notes he can see why people don't like Miz, but also says that he had a tremendous amount of respect for him.

It's incredible to read Daniel Bryan write about how The Miz helped him settle into WWE, giving him advice that has genuinely stood Bryan in good stead since his main roster debut. In many ways, The Miz is the ideal guy to ask about acclimatising to WWE life, because he had quite the bumpy ride to get to where he is today.

Working together on NXT, The Miz and Daniel Bryan formed somewhat of a bond behind the curtain, which is something that may surprise a few WWE fans. Bryan doesn't gush over Mizanin, but he does stick up for him, saying he worked hard to really improve, and has an excellent mind for what it is Vince McMahon and WWE are really looking for in performers.
