Throughout 'Yes! My Improbable Journey To The Main Event Of WrestleMania', Daniel Bryan comes across not only as a cool guy, but also a fairly shy and introverted person. Some of the more quality moments in the book come when he talks about that introverted nature, repeating several times that he's terrified over confronting people.

One such story comes early during childhood. Working several part-time jobs to earn some cash, Bryan doesn't enjoy the thought of chasing clients up for money, or employers, and thus simply avoids the situation altogether. This mentality feeds nicely into the portion of the book when the man expressly states that he's more nervous in front of smaller groups of people than he is in front of large ones.

Maybe the sheer number of fans on hand at wrestling's biggest event makes it all feel less real, almost like the audience is a sea of people rather than a collection of individuals watching Bryan's every move, but he does say that he was often more hesitant about his ability to entertain small groups of fans on the independent circuit than he was at WrestleMania XXX.
