Daniel Bryan's 10 Greatest WWE Moments

2. Turning On Bray Wyatt - 2014

Daniel Bryan was the man that fans wanted to see at the top of the mountain in WWE. It was evident by their support of him going into his match with John Cena at SummerSlam and it grew to new heights as he began battling The Authority in his quest to become the best. WWE answered the call by focusing all its efforts on getting Daniel over. From backstage vignettes to promos to main event matches, Daniel was featured in the best possible light and it was apparent his evolution as a top guy was well under way. That all changed however as Bryan just could not overcome Randy Orton and Triple H. Suddenly, it was as though the company had changed its mind. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ttiGTC5B2gg Bryan found himself targeted by Bray Wyatt, who convinced him to join the family. The move was a shocking one for many fans that likely saw nothing in common between the two sides other than their beards. Indeed, there appeared to be no reason to pair the two together other than to keep Daniel on TV while dashing his main event hopes in the process. Bryan's fan support never wavered though as the crowd refused to believe he would turn his back on them. They still believed in him and that was never more obvious than the night Bryan finally turned on Bray. The unanimous Yes chants that rang out through the arena were spine chilling, as everyone stood on their feet and joined in the moment. It was clear that despite any reservations WWE may have had or other plans that were being hatched for WrestleMania 30, there was no need to look any further. The company had found its man.
