When Daniel Bryan debuted on Monday Night Raw as a member of The Nexus back in 2010, fans were both shocked and thrilled at the same time. For those that knew Bryan from his days in Ring of Honor, it was a great moment for him to be featured in an event that big. For WWE fans that didn't know that much about him, it was a crazy scene involving rebellious talents on the rampage and he was just one of them. However by the next day, everyone knew who Daniel Bryan was. Bryan was fired by WWE for choking ring announcer Justin Roberts on the floor during the melee. Though Bryan's actions were meant to be brutal and fit in the context of the spot, WWE decided to eliminate the negative publicity by letting him go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqTIkhZ9SeA Nearly two months later, Bryan returned to the company at SummerSlam as part of Team WWE. He was pitted against his former Nexus comrades and had a great showing in the match. Though he did not win the night for his team, the fact is he made a definite impact on fans that suddenly knew who he was. The moment was great for Bryan because it put him in his first real prime spot, showcasing his skills and his desire to be something more than what he was. The crowd responded to it and they began to appreciate what Bryan brought to the table every time he stepped into the ring.
