When Bryan went out for surgery shortly after WrestleMania 30 in 2014, he did so at the worst possible time. The company's biggest underdog had traveled the long road to the top of the industry, establishing himself as a true main event star and proving his critics wrong along the way. As he hoisted the WWE World Heavyweight Championship over his head at Mania, fans realized that they were witnessing the single biggest moment of Daniel's professional wrestling career. All of his hard work and all of the dedication to his craft had finally paid off and now he would go on to ride the momentum throughout 2014. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OHBI83cbcds However when he was put on the shelf, all of that momentum disappeared. WWE moved on in Bryan's absence, as Dean Ambrose versus Seth Rollins took center stage and The Authority continued to rule the company with an iron fist. When Bryan finally announced his return though, everything changed. Suddenly, the beard was back. The man that so many of the WWE faithful supported from the ground up was back to not only say thank you but to do so in the ring. The moment was by far the best way for Bryan to wrap up what had been a very disappointing year and it opened up a whole new world of possibilities for him and WWE.
