Daniel became involved in a bizarre love triangle in 2012 as he, CM Punk and Kane were all in the crosshairs of AJ Lee. Bryan's former girlfriend had began to show signs of becoming mentally unstable and had started playing mind games with the three Superstars. The storyline began to splinter off and Bryan versus Kane picked up steam. AJ's unpredictable persona aside, it felt like a fairly straight laced feud would occur between Daniel and The Big Red Machine. In a moment that remains one of the most entertaining and somewhat shocking in recent WWE history, the two men faced their hatred toward each other in the middle of the ring not with conflict but with understanding. Suddenly, the two former rivals were coming together and Team Hell No became the vehicle Bryan needed to propel him to the next level.
