AEW ran an explosive angle on Thursday's live edition of Collision involving rivals Jon Moxley and Darby Allin. It concluded with Allin attempting to throw the Death Riders leader over a fire escape onto some train tracks below, but All Elite security just happened to be on hand to stop this attempted murder.

Meanwhile, announcer Tony Schiavone screamed himself hoarse whilst wondering just how far these men would go during their feud. The answer? Very far indeed, and it seems the most violent moments haven't even happened yet. They're seemingly destined for a major blowoff match on pay-per-view at some point in the future.

Whether or not that happens at the traditionally inter-promotional themed Forbidden Door show on 24 August in London, England remains to be seen, but there's a sense that things are escalating big time between Allin and Moxley on TV.

The attempted murder angle was the culmination of several segments laced throughout Collision. Mox and his Death Riders were out first to discuss Darby and call him out. Allin played smart by luring Moxley backstage before dragging him away to the scene of the (attempted) crime.

Allin could be heard screaming: "I said I would take everything" as he was dragged away by security extras.

Recently, Jon Moxley told Justin Barrasso's Undisputed/Extra Mustard that he views his Death Riders faction as "something that takes years" to develop. In other words, Mox believes the group should be a major part of AEW's product for a long, long time to come. During the same interview, he added that "there's no immediate payoff" for their story.

That'll either delight or horrify you depending on which camp you fall into. Some reckon The Death Riders are an excellent addition to Tony Khan's product, whilst others think it has a nasty stranglehold on television and acts as a poor follow up to the Blackpool Combat Club.

Speaking of that, Moxley went on to explain to Barrasso that he adopts "a Regal mindset". That's in reference to ex-mentor William Regal, who helped launch the BCC alongside Jon and Bryan Danielson. Regal taught Moxley that he should never stop learning, so Jon pictures his Death Riders concept as "an evolving thing".
