Someday, Dave Meltzer will leave this world and head up to the big Tokyo Dome in the sky. His legacy will be written of and celebrated by wrestlers, journalists, and fans alike. However, even when Dave will no longer be with us, people will still write to him and demand to know why he didn't give Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker 5 stars.

At WrestleMania 25, HBK and the Deadman met one-on-one for the first time in over a decade. They had what many considered to be the greatest WrestleMania match of all time: a clash of titans who showed that age was just a number, and that it was experience, crowd connection, and in-ring storytelling that were the true marks of greatness. Dave himself remarked that such a bout belonged up there with HBK-Razor, Bret-Austin, and Bret-Owen as a match that would become synonymous with the show of shows.

His rating: 4.75 stars. Because he did not bestow 5 stars on what many people call their favorite match of all time, Meltzer has never heard the end of "if you gave X 5 stars, why not 'Taker-Shawn?" or "if 'Taker-Shawn happened in the Tokyo Dome, you would have given it 5 stars!"

It's understandable to be mad at someone disliking something you love, but the fact that so many fans have been so offended for so long about a man not loving a match quite the same as they do... well, the absurdity speaks for itself.
