Dean Ambrose Vs Chris Jericho Asylum Match Announced For WWE Extreme Rules 2016
You had to know this was coming!

Dean Ambrose came out to the ring Monday night to address Chris Jericho following weeks of turmoil on WWE programming.
Last week on RAW, Ambrose attacked Jericho and ripped/cut up his $15,000 jacket. Following that, on SmackDown, Jericho surprised Ambrose in the ring, attacking him while the lights were out, and putting him in a straight jacket.
Jericho and Ambrose traded jabs on RAW, with Jericho agreeing to a match at Extreme Rules. Ambrose let him know that he should be careful accepting to face him. At that point, some creepy music played through the arena as a cage was lowered from the ceiling.

The cage was your basic chain-link fence structure, however there were weapons fixed to the top of it.
Some of the weapons included a barbed wire wrapped bat, a mop, nun-chucks, and a straight jacket.
Ambrose said they will face off in the first ever Asylum Match at Extreme Rules.

The funny part about this being the first-ever Asylum Match is that TNA featured something called the Steel Asylum Match in the past. Many fans immediately took to social media to point this out.
However, their structure did not resemble what WWE has planned. The TNA Steel Asylum Match took place in a red, domed cage structure that had an opening at the top where the wrestlers were supposed to escape. The WWE version is essentially a standard cage match with weapons.
