6. The Shield Vs. Evolution (Extreme Rules 2014)

One of the most chaotic WWE matches this decade (and one of the few occasions in where Extreme Rules justified its title), this match will always be defined by Seth Rollins’ balcony dive onto Randy Orton - but there was so much more to love.

Evolution started things off slowly, looking to keep The Shield under wraps with a prolonged spell of dominance. Things seemed to be working out for them, but slowly, surely, The Shield turned the match into the type of all-out brawl that they’ve always excelled in. Shortly after, four of the match's six competitors were fighting it out all over the arena.

This was a tale of the future defeating the past, and while The Shield would disband shortly after, it is matches like this that will ensure their place in WWE history.
