Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson To Co-Host MTV Movie Awards

Rock and "Central Intelligence" co-star Kevin Hart to host April 10 awards show.

International film superstar and ten-time world heavyweight champion Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson has announced via Twitter that he and Kevin Hart will be co-hosting the 2016 MTV Movie Awards. The 25th annual awards ceremony will air live on MTV on April 10. Any time The People's Champion is involved with a project, the people can't be far behind, and this case is no different. The Rock took to Instagram to reach out to fans and followers, asking them to submit script ideas for promos for the event. All fan submissions will be read, and the best ones will be acted out by Rock and Hart during a promotional shoot this Saturday at 2:00 PM. Since 1992, the MTV Movie Awards have honored the year's best films as voted on by the public. Winners in categories such as "Best Male Performance," "Best Female Performance," and "Best Kiss" receive an iconic golden popcorn statue. The Rock has been nominated for the award twice in the past - first in 2004's "Best Fight" category for The Rundown, and again in 2009's "Best Villain" category for Get Smart.
