In 1999, Edge and Christian, and The Hardys had a revolutionary ladder match. At the Royal Rumble 2000, The Hardys and The Dudleys had a tables match of the same caliber. It was only a matter of time before the separate components were fused together, and at WrestleMania-level stakes.
It was as though these three tag teams were born to battle each other. Before the term TLC was invented, this triangle ladder match proved that all six athletes were the future of the business. They crashed through tables, they dived off ladders, they endured and showed immaculate chemistry, and ultimately set an astronomical bar for all future successors.
Edge might have been one of six, but when you consider the fact that each wrestler was above top form, that is still a colossal level of input. His spear to Jeff Hardy during a ladder ascent, proved that he was all-in from a very early age. In the best possible way, Edge's career would never be the same again.
