3. Edge VS The Undertaker - World Title (WrestleMania 24)
It wasn't until 2008 that Edge reached the main event spot at WrestleMania.
The ring entrances to this match alone were enough to induce goosebumps, Undertaker's for obvious reasons, and Edge's because finally, he was at centre stage. The HeavyWeight title was up for grabs. The anticipation was astronomical.
After some steady pacing at the start, the match ramped up and it was clear that the Dead Man and the R-Rated Superstar were on the same wavelength. Edge stood as a dastardly heel, and Undertaker as an unstoppable force. Both wrestlers made sure that everything in their arsenal was on show, and told a story with each blow, grapple and finisher.
It was a simple, solid, and dazzlingly effective match, and about as full-bodied as one could hope for at the Show of Shows. It might have been inevitable that Edge lose to the streak, but that didn't stop him from making it a close call. Ultimately, this was another iconic moment of his tenure, and further validation that the brightest spotlight was where Edge thrived the most.
