Every AEW Pay-Per-View Ranked - From Worst To Best
24. Full Gear 2020
Full Gear 2020 opened with the latest chapter in the great story between 'Hangman' Adam Page and The Elite. Having disbanded their tag-team after losing their championship to FTR, Kenny Omega and Page met in the final of the Eliminator Tournament to crown a Number One Contender for the AEW World Championship. Omega was in the middle of his heel turn, and poured more misery and self-doubt on his former partner by defeating him in a closely contested match-up.
A couple of AEW originals then proved why the company were on such a hot streak by beating two of the biggest names in wrestling. Darby Allin had one of the best nights of his career by winning the TNT Championship from Cody Rhodes, before MJF got the better of Chris Jericho in a match that saw himself and Wardlow join The Inner Circle as a result of his victory.
The Young Bucks defeated FTR to win the AEW Tag Team Championships, in a match that was slightly marred by the Bucks winning with a Matt Jackson superkick, in spite of a leg injury to him that had been played up throughout the match. The night ended with a bang though, as Eddie Kingston and Jon Moxley competed in an "I Quit" Match for the AEW World Championship. The build had centred around Kingston, refuting that he tapped out to Moxley in a match on the September 23rd episode of Dynamite, with Moxley forcing 'The Mad King' to say "I Quit" by choking him with barbed wire. Yup. That'll do it.
