43. Dynasty 2025
2025 was a great year for AEW, but Dynasty was one of the very few letdowns for Tony Khan's company. There was still greatness on display, as Kenny Omega retained the International Championship in a brilliant Triple Threat against Ricochet and 'Speedball' Mike Bailey, and Kyle Fletcher and Mark Briscoe continued their great in-ring chemistry with a brilliant bout in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament.
The Death Riders vs Rated FTR, with Edge spearing Wheeler Yuta for a victory, and Will Ospreay defeating Kevin Knight were the best of the rest, but a lot of the Dynasty matches either didn't live up to expectations or fell flat entirely. Adam Cole vs Daniel Garcia and Bandido vs Chris Jericho are matches that should have been great but were fairly mediocre, and Jon Moxley's successful defence of the AEW World Championship against Swerve Strickland had a flat ending, as The Young Bucks returned to come to the champion's aid.
Throw in the predictable results for Mercedes Mone beating Julia Hart, 'TImeless' Toni Storm defeating Penelope Ford, and the nonsense 40-second match between Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, and this was a bad night in an otherwise excellent year.
