44. Fight For The Fallen 2019

AEW Fight For The Fallen
AEW

The final stop before All Out 2019 was headlined by The Young Bucks vs Cody and Dustin Rhodes, following their emotional reconciliation at the end of their classic Double Or Nothing match. What this battle lacked in tension and overall stakes, it more than made up for with masterful in-ring storytelling, as Nick and Matt overcame Shattered Dreams and Cross Rhodes to hit the Meltzer Driver for the win in a super entertaining encounter.

'Hangman' Adam Page continued to gain traction with a win over Kip Sabian, and Kenny Omega defeated Cima with the One-Winged Angel, but the rest of the matches left a lot to be desired. Let's be honest here. It's hard to defend a card that includes a Brandi Rhodes win over Allie and Sonny Kiss vs Peter Avalon.

The Lucha Bros victory over Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky of SCU increased the standards a little, but this is a completely forgettable event that offers next to nothing in the story of AEW, and falls way short of the caliber of matches the company would become known for in its early years.
