37. Wrestle Dynasty 2025
The first-ever Wrestle Dynasty at the Tokyo Dome felt like a big moment between AEW and NJPW. It's fair to say that Forbidden Door was not up to its usual standards in 2024, and this card went a long way to restoring the quality of previous events between the two big time promotions. Storylines were fairly incidental as great pro wrestling action took centre stage for a great night of in-ring action.
Kenny Omega's best match of 2025 took place against Gabe Kidd, with both men working the Tokyo Dome crowd expertly and Kenny getting the win with the One Winged Angel. The Young Bucks were victorious on their return to Japan in a thrilling Triple Threat against Los Ingobernables de Japon and United Empire, and David Finlay and Brody King put on a brutal display to please sadists everywhere.
The main event saw Ricochet vs Zack Sabre Jnr put on a clinic, with the American wrestling a singles match in NJPW for the first time since being part of the 2017 Best of the Super Junior's tournament. The mat-based excellence of Zack Sabre Jr and high-flying exploits of Ricochet melded perfectly, as ZSJ continued his incredible run of matches against AEW opposition.
