Every AEW Stable Ranked From Worst To Best
11. Team Taz
Members: Taz, Ricky Starks, Powerhouse Hobbs, Hook
The idea of having Taz head up a team of hardened brawlers seems so obvious it should have been booked sooner. The reintroduction of Taz's custom FTW Championship from his days in ECW was also a nice Easter egg for long term fans as well as providing a unique hook for the stable.
The early recruitment of Brian Cage was beneficial to establishing Taz's brand that would spawn his team. Cage is a dominant fighter with an impressive hulking physique. He made fans sit up and take notice of Taz's new managerial venture.
The defining feud of Team Taz thus far has been against Darby Allin and Sting. The rising star and the WCW icon done wrong by WWE brought the best out of Team Taz. Even in loss, Team Taz never looked more united.
Though losing Cage was a blow to the group (the former IMPACT World Champion is a severely underrated talent), it made complete sense in promoting Starks as an up-and-coming threat.
The team at present feels as if it is falling into a manager-wrestler mould (Taz and Starks) rather than a full faction, however, Hook (Taz's real-life rookie son) is an intriguing prospect and it will be interesting as to how he grows alongside the team.
